Promote with Leviathan NewsEvan Tangeman, 22, got 70 months plus 3 years supervised release for laundering at least $3.5M of $263M stolen by a multi-state social engineering crew that ran from October 2023 to May 2025. He converted stolen BTC to cash, helped rent $40Kโ$80K/month LA mansions for co-conspirators, and directed evidence destruction after co-defendants Malone Lam and Jeandiel Serrano were arrested in September 2024. His cut included a widebody Lamborghini Urus; feds also seized a Rolls-Royce Ghost and Porsche GT3 RS from his home. US Attorney Jeanine Pirro called the enterprise "so brazen it borders on the cartoonish."
