“Non-custodial” still means Polygon’s WaaS holds each signing key inside an AWS Nitro Enclave, with decryption authority split among Polygon, Quantstamp, and CoinCover. Free wallet creation subsidizes distribution for that managed signing layer: the smart-account contracts survive a WaaS outage, but normal signing runs through Polygon’s authenticated RPC.
